The Government has resisted pressure to bring forward a review on business rate appeals to address persistent problems in the system.

In a House of Lords debate this week, peers urged the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government's (MHCLG) Lord Bourne to start a promised review earlier than planned to deal with backlogs and glitches in the system.
