Here at Craven DC we received the best possible Christmas present in 2017 – we finally published our draft local plan, core strategy and site allocation in one fell swoop. It’s been a long road to reach this stage and it’s not over yet. We’re now going through a six-week period of inviting formal representations before we can submit it.

Here at Craven DC we received the best possible Christmas present in 2017 – we finally published our draft local plan, core strategy and site allocation in one fell swoop. It's been a long road to reach this stage and it's not over yet. We're now going through a six-week period of inviting formal representations before we can submit it.

We started preparing the plan back in 2012 and it's been through an extraordinary amount of consultation and revision. Many alterations have been made due to responses from the public but also from constant changes to government guidance.
