The Government will fail to fulfil its manifesto commitment of ending rough sleeping for good by 2024 without a cross-Whitehall strategy for reducing homelessness, it has been warned.

With the 15-month eviction ban having ended at the end of last month, several charities and think-tanks are fearful that thousands of households may be made homeless in the coming weeks.
