Education experts have called on politicians to heed warnings by Sir Michael Wilshaw about government plans to bring back grammar schools.

Yesterday a memo written by Jonathan Slater, the most senior civil servant in the Department for Education, showing Theresa May is drawing up plans to end the ban on new grammar schools and allow existing ones to expand.
