Move-out, granddad, think tank urges

Older people should downsize properties in order to relieve the housing shortage, the Intergenerational Foundation suggests.

Under-occupation in housing has increased to 25 million empty bedrooms, according to the campaign group, the Intergenerational Foundation.

The group's report, titled Hoarding of Housing, also states under-occupation has risen 45% since 2003. It claims older people should downsize properties in order to relieve the housing shortage.
