Cumbria CC has offered £1m in grants to independent care homes to help train staff or improve their dementia care facilities.

‘This is a major investment, which will benefit the county for many years, and we hope as many independent residential care homes as possible apply for a grant,' said cabinet member for adult social care, Cllr James Airey.
