The electorate has spoken. I'm just not entirely convinced I understood what it was trying to say.

Is the message that it likes Jeremy Corbyn more than was predicted, dislikes David Cameron even more – or is it just voting on local government rather than delivering their verdict on national politics? I hope it's the latter.
