Tower Hamlets LBC officers have defended their running of the elections after criticism from politicians.

Leader of the council's Conservative group, Cllr Peter Golds, told The MJ he had written to the Electoral Commission and the Department of Communities and Local Government about the ‘shambolic' 37-hour count.
