According to a new report by APSE, ministers must recognise the important role councils can play in kick-starting the green economy.

Ministers must recognise the important role councils can play in kick-starting the green economy, according to a new report by the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE).

APSE recommends letting councils offer tax rebates to environmentally-friendly households, and calls on ministers to encourage pension funds to make feed-in-tariffs viable for large-scale social housing schemes.
