Group petitions for welfare debate

Charities are using the Government’s online petition service to call for a debate on welfare reforms for disabled children.

A group of 25 charities is using the Government's new online petition service to call for a parliamentary debate on welfare reforms for disabled children.

The group, led by the Children's Society, is aiming to get 100,000 signatures on the Government's e-petition website to make MPs look again at plans to change the universal credit scheme.
