Gwynedd appoints Dilwyn Williams as new chief

Gwynned Council has appointed Dilwyn Williams as the authority’s new chief executive, the culmination of his 35-year working career within the area.

Gwynned Council has appointed Dilwyn Williams as the authority's new chief executive, the culmination of his 35-year working career within the area.

Mr Williams, who will replace outgoing chief Harry Thomas upon his retirement this summer, has worked in local government in Gwynned since 1979.

A qualified accountant, Mr Williams was appointed head of accountancy at Gwynned in 1996 before taking up the role of strategic director for resources and later council corporate director.
