Gwynedd Council chief executive Dilwyn Williams has announced his intention to retire on 31 March following a career of more than 40 years in public service. He has been chief executive since 2014.

He began his career in Caernarfon CC and held the roles of head of accountancy, strategic director for resources and corporate director at Gwynned.
