Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has asked shadow local government secretary Andrew Gwynne to lead mediation in a dispute over Haringey LBC’s regeneration programme.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has asked shadow local government secretary Andrew Gwynne to lead mediation in a dispute over Haringey LBC's regeneration programme.

The talks to heal the Labour rift come after the party's ruling national executive committee (NEC) urged the council to pause its plans for a Haringey Development Vehicle (HDV), under which the local authority will transfer £2bn assets to a public-private partnership with Lendlease.
