Sutton Council has an ambitious vision to make Hackbridge "the most sustainable place to live in the UK" by working with residents, businesses and others to promote One Planet Living – a lifestyle where we can enjoy an excellent way of life while using only fair share of the earth's resources. The project involves working with a wide range of groups including: developers, regional and national government agencies, the voluntary sector and, most importantly, the local community. All have come together to create the vision and provide their expertise to deliver a truly sustainable community. Our commitment to this vision, along with the backing of government agencies, local residents and businesses, creates the opportunity to be involved in one of the most prestigious, place-changing and innovative development projects in the UK. We are now looking to recruit an experienced project manager and regeneration professional to lead our ambitious plans, negotiate with developers, secure funding; lead our communication with local residents; and coordinate support from across the council. You will have relevant experience at senior management level as well as a successful track record in delivering large scale regeneration programmes.
