Cllr Nick Botterill was last night named as the new leader at Conservative flagship authority Hammersmith and Fulham LBC - pledging to keep administrative overheads to a minimum.
Nominated at a full council meeting held 30 May, Cllr Botterill succeeds Stephen Greenhalgh - who is poised to become London Mayor Boris Johnson's deputy mayor for policing. A council spokesman also confirmed to The MJ that owing to the mayoral appointment, Mr Greenhalgh would no longer be taking charge of the White City regeneration project.
