Lord Alf Dubs says the job of welcoming refugees ‘is much greater than just a roof over their heads’ and he reflects on the support given by Hammersmith & Fulham LBC to those traumatised by war.

Before the war in Ukraine, there were already 30 million refugees and 35 million internally displaced people worldwide.

Those figures are rising daily as Ukrainians flee for safety in neighbouring countries or flee West within Ukraine itself.
