Happy daze

Health and social care secretary Matt Hancock took time out of his schedule last week to brief councillors and directors of public health. He reportedly had plenty of important stuff to say about about the next stage of mass testing, the return to the tiered system from 3 December and the vaccination programme. But some watchers of the webinar – beamed live from what looked like Mr Hancock’s office – were distracted by a framed picture on his bookshelf, which read ‘Carpe Diem’.
