So the new Olympic neighbourhoods have been named. East London and the Olympic Park will now host Chobham Manor, East Wick, Marshgate Wharf, Sweetwater and Pudding Mill.

These were picked from among 2,000 suggestions put forward by members of the public, while slightly more adventurous names such as Little Athens and Redgravia were spurned. They might have let a few of the more creative one through rather than only picking the ones relating to the nearest existing place, but anyway – it’s exciting to see new places appearing on the map of East London.
