Harman hits out at voting changes

Deputy leader of the Labour Party Harriett Harman attacks plans to change the voting system.

Plans to change the voting system have been attacked deputy leader of the Labour Party, Harriet Harman, for trying to 'push people off the electoral register'.

Closing the Labour Party conference in Liverpool yesterday, Ms Harman said the move – which would put the responsibility to register to vote on individuals - would deny people their vote.
