Harrow LBC is to directly commission services from local voluntary groups – rather than invite bids for large annual grant awards.

Cabinet members at the council have approved the change as part of a new strategic investment plan to support voluntary and community groups. Small grants of up to £5,000 will still be available for bids from some local groups.
