Harrow LBC's assistant chief executive Tom Whiting has become corporate director of resources.

Mr Whiting joined the council in 2005 as head of strategy and performance and became assistant chief executive with responsibility for customer service, HR, IT, strategic commissioning, risk, audit and fraud. He will head a new resources directorate, which is the result of a management restructure, which includes the additional responsibilities of finance, procurement, revenues and benefits and legal.
