A council chief executive who wanted to retire on her 61st birthday has been persuaded to stay on working part-time from December.

A council chief executive who wanted to retire on her 61st birthday has been persuaded to stay on working part-time from December.

Havering LBC members last night approved the proposal by council leader Cllr Roger Ramsey for Cheryl Coppell to work between three and four days a week for at least another 18 months.
