Havering LBC's leader Ray Morgon has warned the council may be forced to declare effective bankruptcy in as little as six months.

The London borough said challenges such as demographic pressures, social care costs, homelessness and inflation meant it risked having to issue a section 114 notice as it faced a potential budget gap next year of £14m, rising to £51.8m in 2028.
