Head of Community & Economic Services

Not a lot of people know this…

…but the Suffolk coast features a wide range of challenging and dynamic economic and community issues. Forget any thoughts of our Suffolk Coast being a sleepy backwater. This post is central to meeting many of the key challenges and aspirations of the two district councils of Suffolk Coastal and Waveney and their communities. You will help lead our work on developing economic growth, supporting localism through local communities, and delivery of key projects. We have an exciting and demanding time ahead addressing everything from new energy development, driving the growth agenda, supporting local communities, and providing stewardship of our outstanding environment.

If you have significant experience at a senior level in these areas within a complex public, private or third sector organisation we would like to hear from you. We will expect you to deliver at strategic and operational levels, using a blend of strong leadership and management skills. If you want to find out more, please go online for more details and hear from our Chief Executive about this post and why the Suffolk Coast is the best place to be.

For an informal discussion about this role please contact either Stephen Baker, Chief Executive on 01394 444348 or email here, or Arthur Charvonia, Assistant Chief Executive on 01502 523606 or email here.

Closing date: 6th February 2013. Interview date: 7th March 2013.
