Recruitment specialist, Veredus, has announced the appointment of Annette Sergeant as head of its health search and selection practice.

Ms Sergeant joins the company from Hoggett Bowers, where she held a similar position for several years. She previously spent more than 25 years in the NHS, including 17 years as the chief executive officer of four separate acute hospital trusts, and also worked at the Department of Health as a policy lead.
