Head of Regulatory Services at Three Rivers District Council

Applications are invited for the Head of Regulatory Services post. This is a key new post following a restructuring of the Department of Community and Environmental Services and offers an exciting opportunity for a well organised, enthusiastic and committed manager who is able to demonstrate their leadership skills.

Regulatory Services covers Development Management, Building Control, Land Charges, Car Parking, Land Terrier and Surveying Services, Licensing, the Environmental Health Commercial Team and Technical Support. Political awareness is an essential attribute for this position as well as an ability to motivate and develop staff. Regulatory Services is a priority, frontline group of services within the Council and has extensive engagement with our elected Members, residents, businesses and other stakeholders.

Your application should set out how your experience to date is relevant to the requirements of the job, how you would knit together the previously separate sections to form a cohesive team and the benefits that would accrue for customers and the authority. With ambition and drive, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player with the ability to make things happen.
