Ex-head's child protection fears

The former head of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) centre, Jim Gamble, has criticised the Government for merging the unit with a new, ‘FBI-style' agency, run by central government.

Mr Gamble said he feared the unit would lose its identity in a merger, and would fail to act as effectively in child protection work.
