Former Labour local government minister, John Healey, has accused the Government of a political ‘fix' over the distribution of the Growing Places Fund.

In a letter to communities secretary, Eric Pickles, Mr Healey accuses the Government of fixing distribution methods to direct the funds towards Conservative local government heartlands at the expense of areas in greater need.
