A 'perfect storm' of health reforms and a stringent financial climate also represents a 'perfect opportunity' to drive wider collaboration between the NHS and local government, a new study claims.

The report, 'Routes for Social and Health Care', produced by the influential King's Fund, makes the case for the new public health responsibilities of local authorities driving a complete rethink of how local health and social care systems use their combined resources.
