The King’s Fund has predicted council social care services will face a £1bn funding gap by 2015.

The King's Fund has predicted council social care services will face a £1bn funding gap by 2015, despite the Government's promise of extra funding.

The think-tank warned in a report last week that budgets were facing unprecedented financial pressures, and called for health and social care budgets to be brought together under a single national settlement.
