Health warning from party conferences

There should be a statistical health warning attached to party conferences, says Michael Burton.

There should be a statistical health warning attached to party conferences, a bit like those on packets for anti-inflammatory tablets as in, ‘Do not take more than six in one 24-hour period.'

The supposed further welfare cut of £10bn announced this week by the chancellor George Osborne is such a huge figure that the recommended health warning should be to take not six but only one of these statistics in a 24-hour period.
