Healthcare spending rises by 3.6%

Healthcare spending in the UK by government and non-government bodies trailed just below NHS inflation by rising 3.6% in 2016, according to latest figures from the Office for National Statistics.

Healthcare spending in the UK by government and non-government bodies trailed just below NHS inflation by rising 3.6% in 2016, according to latest figures from the Office for National Statistics.

Government spending accounted for 62% of all spending on long-term care, with most other long-term care spending financed out of pocket by users.
