Will we hear an honest debate in the week before the election?

Heather Jameson ponders if the parties will focus on winning the election by telling people what they think they want to hear rather than address major issues of adult's and children's care services.

As we head into the last week of the election, it seems extraordinary that the polls are yet to shift to show a clear front runner.

Much of local government is on hold, waiting for the outcome of the election as we wake on 8th May – or more likely a week or so later after the dust has settled and the parties have negotiated their deals.
