A pioneering scheme in the small northern market town of Haltwhistle, that provides hospital and social care support under the same roof, is one of the first facilities of its kind in the country.

The innovative £4.6m new development, a partnership between Northumberland CC and Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, has proved an original solution to improve and protect health and social care in the town.
