Non-residents of Lewes DC will be disappointed to discover the district's famous bonfire celebrations will be a limited affair again this year.

Amid concerns about overcrowding – given Guy Fawkes Night celebrations fall on a Saturday – the district and its partners decided to cancel train services for the night, while roads in and out of the town centre will be shut to accommodate the event.
