Call to help youngsters with brain disorders

The Children’s Commissioner for England calls for more support to help young offenders with brain conditions.

The Children's Commissioner for England has called on health and social care agencies to do more to help young offenders with brain conditions.

In a report published on 19 October, commissioner Maggie Atkinson said young people in children's prisons often had neurological conditions, and added that there was growing evidence to suggest these could contribute to youngsters committing crimes.
