Local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) should receive a cash injection and more powers, Lord Heseltine has reported in his eagerly-awaited review of ways to boost the UK economy.

As The MJ first reported last week, the former deputy prime minister's report, published on 31 October, recommends a raft of measures to get businesses and the public sector working together – including a shift towards unitary local government (see page 1, The MJ, 25 October).
