Highways maintenance backlog falls to £9bn

The estimated highways maintenance backlog has fallen by almost 23% this year to £9.3bn from £12bn.

The estimated highways maintenance backlog has fallen by almost 23% this year to £9.3bn from £12bn.

Figures compiled as part of the Annual Local Authority Road Maintenance (ALARM) survey represent the best result for local authorities in roughly a decade.
