Scottish ministers have vowed to carry on with their controversial plans to appoint a named person for every child despite a UK Supreme Court ruling.

Senior judges ruled that some aspects of the scheme breached rights to privacy and a family life under the European Convention on Human Rights following an appeal brought by the No To Named Persons coalition of third sector groups.
