Home care providers employ underqualified staff

A BBC investigation claims the social care system in England is rife with unqualifed staff.

The social care system in England is rife with unqualified staff and companies that do not carry out criminal records checks, a BBC investigation has claimed.

Figures obtained by the BBC from the Care Quality Commission, which regulates home care in England, revealed 217 home care providers were employing workers who have not been not properly qualified.
