Homecare group quits sector over fall in fees

The not-for-profit group Housing & Care 21 has blamed falling local authority fees for its decision to quit the homecare sector.

Speaking after it confirmed it was putting its £30m homecare business up for sale, the group's chief executive, Bruce Moore, said it could no longer provide a high quality of care from the funding received from councils.
