A leading homeless charity has become the first third sector organisation to quit the Government’s controversial Work Programme.

A leading homeless charity has become the first third sector organisation to quit the Government's controversial Work Programme.

The Single Homeless Project (SHP) announced last week it was withdrawing after nine months as a sub-contractor to the welfare-to-work scheme, which the organisation said was not properly resourced or structured.
