Homelessness 'fastest growing financial risk' for London boroughs

MPs have called for action to help local authorities in London tackle the rising costs of providing homelessness support.

MPs have called for action to help local authorities in London tackle the rising costs of providing homelessness support.

In a debate in Parliament yesterday, Labour MP Calvin Bailey warned that ‘by far the most acute financial pressure' facing London boroughs was homelessness, adding the issue was boroughs' ‘fastest growing financial risk'.
