The Government has cleared the return of former Suffolk CC chief executive Lin Homer to her former authority to undertake a review of councillors' remuneration.

The Office of the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments approved a request from Ms Homer, as a former permanent secretary and the chief executive of HM Revenue and Customs, to take up the new, unpaid role at the council.
