Bristol City Council has brought 508 privately-owned empty homes back into use over the last year, a record annual figure, local officials have claimed.

Bristol City Council has brought 508 privately-owned empty homes back into use over the last year, a record annual figure, local officials have claimed.

The council used a range of powers, including Compulsory Purchase Orders. It also helped local housing associations secure funding from the Government last month to help lease empty homes from private owners.
