Council chief executives, councillors, housing bosses and community sector leaders have been acknowledged in the New Year's honour list.
Peter Jones, leader of East Sussex CC became a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire), an accolade which was also bestowed on former Hertfordshire CC chief executive, Caroline Tapster.
