Independent health regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), has launched a consultation on a new excellence award for adult social care services.

Independent health regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), has launched a consultation on a new excellence award for adult social care services.

Set for launch in April 2012, the voluntary award will be open to all providers offering regulated services. Procurement began last month to select third party organisations to deliver the award schemes, under licence to CQC.
