Councillors have paid warm tributes to Judith Pettersen, Hounslow LBC's director of children's services who is leaving the council at the end of the month, for her work to improve the lives of the borough's children and young people.

Ms Pettersen was appointed in November 2006 as director of children's services and lifelong learning. Among many notable achievements during her six years at Hounslow, she has delivered a huge change agenda.
