Camden LBC has launched a judicial review of the Government's plan for the High Speed 2 rail link from the capital to Birmingham.

Camden LBC in north London has launched a judicial review of the Government's plan for the High Speed 2 rail link from the capital to Birmingham.

The borough has also joined the ‘51m' lobby group – a cross-party group of authorities opposed to the £32bn rail route, which critics claim could rip up local communities or countryside along the route. Cllr Sarah Hayward, Camden's cabinet member for communities, said:
