Health secretary Jeremy Hunt has pledged greater integration between the NHS and local authority care services as one of his four key 'priority areas.'

Mr Hunt, who was made health secretary in last month's reshuffle, told council adult and children's services directors at their annual conference in Eastbourne that local government was the 'single most important partner' for the NHS.
